BEHOLD! My mighty Wood Saber! Every hour or so, I just stab at my pellets towards the auger and make sure there's no voids starting in my pellets. This keeps everything flowing smoothly and makes sure I don't get issues with not enough pellets leading to back burning. She be a square dowel rod with a hole and a hook. Poke-poke-stir-stir-smoke-smoke…..drank+smoke. Hope this helps someone out there

I just stick my hand in there, but make sure to keep far enough from the auger.

I have a similar tool, but mine is just a dead tree branch lol

I’m probably pretty luck but I’ve never had bridging issues.

I just use my hand. Guess I am a simple man. I do envy your purpose built tool.

I never thought this could be an actual issue. Just thought I was being anal.

I simply keep my pellets piled higher at the wall nearest the smoke chamber. Never had an issue.

Your magic touch was to remove that stupid “protective” grate. Now just use your hand to push the pellets into the conical cavity.

Wtf? You guys are all poking and shifting your pellets every hour or so throughout a cook? I turn that shit on and come back 8-12 hours later. That’s the whole point of a pellet grill.

Maybe something that could vibrate the pellets down 🤔

This is better than the poop knife. Is the hook used to move the pellets or is it simply used to hook the pole onto your smoker when not in use?

Mine tells me when its low. Its usually a void. I push the pellets over with my hand. Why do you need a tool for that? Dont stick your fingers in the auger…
